OUR MISSIONS

Who are we helping?

TESS Care helps people in need regardless of their origin, sex, gender, nationality and religion. We aim to facilitate access to education for children from disadvantaged backgrounds, including those who cannot continue their education due to financial difficulties, those with illnesses or disabilities and orphans.

Why education?

Education is a determining factor for a child’s future. It is associated with a reduced risk of child mortality and a better quality of life. Access to education offers protection to children and gives them the personal and social skills to survive in difficult, unstable contexts. The ability to read, for example, allows for the proper understanding of public health campaigns, better formulation of requests for healthcare or legal aid. By helping children, we are also helping their community and the generation that will follow.

Project in Sri Lanka

The armed conflict in Sri Lanka has taken a heavy toll on innumerable families. Many children have been separated from their families and left to fend for themselves. They now have to be placed in institutions that can provide them with essential care. The Covid-19 pandemic has only accentuated poverty that war had pushed thousands of families into.
